THE FIVEFOLD MINISTRIESEND TIME MESSENGERS AND FIVEFOLD MINISTRIES

THE APOSTLE

The word apostle was relately unknown to the Jewish world of Jesus time and it was certainly not understood in the sense we use it today. Jesus Himself instituted apostleship.

Greek word apostolos means one who is sent. In secular Greek the word apostolos was use to describe the sending of merchant ships. There were twelve original of founding apostles, but scripture designates others apostle as well.

Apostle are not officials of the congregation, they are officer of Christ by whom the church is build. The ministry of apostle is to establish of build the church. He is empowered with special gifts from the Lord for this purpose.

Thus, the mark of a true apostle can include signs and wonders. From scripture we also observe that an apostle may from time to time freely operate any of the other ministry offices in order to accomplish the mission of establishing churches.

THE PROPHET

In simple language, the prophet may be defined as one who announces the declaration of God. God always set His prophet to His church to perform a unique function. Whereas pastor and teachers usually speak with authority primarily from the written word, prophets speak from having been in the council of God. Prophets may address contemporary events, deal with deep rooted sin in the church, or address civil leaders in God’s behalf. According to Ephesians 2:20 they along with apostles are instrument in laying of the foundation of the church:

And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

THE PROPHET HAS A REVELATION

I define revelation as a teaching, understanding, or knowledge revealed directly to an individual from God. Theologically revelation disclosure or manifestation to man from the creator Himself and His will. A revelation is much more than a word of knowledge. Generally a word of knowledge tells the recipient a fact. It is usually very limited in scope. Revelation as used in scripture much larger in scope. The apostle Paul tells us that he learned his doctrine by revelation directly from the Lord Jesus Himself (Gal. 1:12) he spoke of his revelations: that is, the mystery made know to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly.” 3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,

The apostle john started is word in the book of Revelation by saying, 1 ¶ The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: (Rve.1:1)

Daniel received a revelation by saying:- 1 ¶ In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing was true, but the time appointed was long: and he understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision.

Let me insert a strong word of caution here. The above means of receiving divine inspiration are written to describe the manner God uses to communicate with prophets and other who are spiritual matured. Satanic or demon forces also can use the identical means to communicate with people. Therefore anyone who has had any of the five prophetic experiences must continually submit what is received to the test of Holy Spirit by judging their prophecy. This continued judging of the prophetic word, however conveyed, is to ensure that it is indeed of God speaking to them.

Also let me caution you again about seeking a prophetic word. One should never set to receive a “prophetic word” from God. We should seek guidance, assurance, confirmation and so on from God. But to willfully open ourselves up to be spoken to by a voice form the spirit realm opens us to the demonic realm as well. If God want to convey His word prophetically to us, rest assured He will. I am not suggest that one should never make any effort to go any where to hear a proven, genuine prophet of God, whether he or she moves primarily in personal prophecy or corporate prophecy. It is already to make yourself available for God to speak to you as long as you are doing all the other things God expects as we mature such as reading our bible, praying, being in a solid church

HOW TO IDENTIFY A PROPHET

What is a prophet?  For many evangelicals, the calling/category of prophet is more confusing and controversial than apostle or evangelist.  Some believe that the Old Testament prophets’ focus on communal repentance for culturally common sins (idolatry, adultery, social injustice) has been replaced from the New Testament forward by prophets who speak particular divine messages to individuals about the consequences of specific choices.

While the New Testament does place greater emphasis on the spiritual choices of individuals, individual decisions do show up in the Old Testament and collective decisions in the New Testament.  I believe that we get farther (and avoid limiting God) when we look at the common core of the prophetic call.

“exegesis of existence from a divine perspective…not simply the application of timeless standards to particular human situations, but rather to a particular moment in history, a divine understanding of a human situation.”

Prophets speak God’s truth into a specific place and time for the transformation of lives and communities.

I have been engaging believers and Christian communities in doing justice for over 25 years.  Doing justice involves enabling people to work together to ensure that the systems that impact their lives operate in ways that are more in accord with the will of God – more just, less oppressive, more beneficial to all of God’s creation.

Prophets speak God’s truth into a specific place and time for the transformation of lives and…

Where You Will Find A Prophet

The barriers to systemic change are deep, profound, easily overwhelming. It’s easy for middle/upper class people to feel that we don’t really need to take on the burden of systemic change.  To have a certain level of privilege is to be able to escape the power of systems.  If you are born a citizen, you don’t need to deal with the immigration system.  If you have the money to pay for a private Christian school, you don’t need to care about the public education system.  If you have health insurance through your job, you don’t need to worry about the public health care system.  But if you are poor, you don’t have a choice as to whether or not you deal with the burden of the systems; if the systems are ineffective and oppressive, you often find yourself crushed under those burdens.  When members of our Body are crushed under these burdens, we are called to bear one another’s burden and thus fulfill the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2).

To overcome the barriers to systemic change, we require prophets – people who can communicate the word of God for that place and time with such power and grace that congregations, community members and leaders are moved to sustain the struggle until change occurs.

As I have identified and developed many leaders with prophetic gifts over the years, I have noticed that there are two different kinds of prophetic gifts that God is rising up at this time in history.

There are prophet-provocateurs and prophet-organizers.

To overcome the barriers to systemic change, we require prophets

Prophet Provocateurs

Prophet provocateurs are called to break down ungodly assumptions and break apart smug contentment with the way things are.  They are always passionately eloquent, and often fierce.  They offend with the “offense of Christ.”  They don’t make friends but they do influence people.  Prophet provocateurs can cast a general vision for a new and better way to be, but they are not usually able to design a better system, particularly one which builds on the good elements of the existing system.

Some prophets are provocative and called to break down ungodly assumptions,

Prophet Organizers

Prophet organizers, on the other hand, are able to communicate the call for change more gracefully.  They awaken gently instead of rudely, often through the building of relationships that open and change hearts.  They “fish”, pulling on the “underwater lines” to bring communities and leaders through a series of steps into a new way of seeing and acting.  They speak God’s truth in love and shrewdly.  The apostle Paul manifested both kinds of prophetic gifts.  When Paul dealt with King Agrippa about the persecution of Christians and with the Council in Jerusalem about the system for allowing Gentiles into the church, he abandoned his usual confrontational style and created change through collaboration.

Some prophets are called to be organizers and are able to communicate the call for change more…

Prophet provocateurs and prophet organizers need each other; the church and the world need them both.  However, we will only be able to utilize them if they are recognized, trained, developed and prayed for by the larger Body of Christ.

How has this post helped you understand the role of a prophet better? Are you identifying these people in your ministry?

HOW TO WELCOME A PROPHET

Prophetic types might be the hardest to welcome because their gift is often unwanted. Even the most refined prophets are hard to hear. The history of, well, history—is that religious people don’t just fail to welcome prophets, we kill them. Here, then are some tips on how to welcome (and not kill) your prophets.

Don’t be afraid.

Try not to feel threatened or intimidated. Most mistakes we make with a prophetic person happen because we misunderstand their heart. Prophetic impulses often present themselves as aggressive, rigid or proud. Truthfully, unrefined prophets can be hard to like. I am not sure I would like myself were I to meet my 19 year old counterpart. But fear (and the loathing that can follow) is often rooted in our own insecurities and not the prophet’s failures. We perceive prophets as threats because they are.

Prophets, when they are functioning perfectly, will challenge and critique existing structures and practices. In theory, good leaders want that kind of input. But in real life it can be almost unbearable to hear. If you are already struggling with the wisdom of a certain decision or even more profoundly the wisdom of your leadership in general, a prophet might just set those insecurities on fire. What is a smoldering inadequacy can become an inferno of self-doubt and defensiveness in the company of an unseasoned prophet. The first step then, is to buttress your own confidence. The first and best thing you can do to welcome a prophet is to be totally rooted in the love of God and confident in your own gifts and authority.

Prophetic types might be the hardest to welcome because their gift is often unwanted.

Because prophets challenge the status quo (of which you are likely the steward) they can come off…

This is the purest hospitality to the prophet, to really consider what they are saying….

The difference between a true and false prophet is often consistency.

PROPHETIC

What does it mean to be Prophetic?

Prophets love God with everything they’ve got and call others to do the same. They align their lives around God’s priorities and call the church out of idolatry and toward faithfulness in worship and mission. They challenge people to care about those on the margins of our society, and to purity in our pursuit of God’s presence.

THE PASTOR

The pastor has sincere concern for the people whom God has placed under his care. He has great patience and love for them. He also takes very seriously the responsibility of feeding them the proper spiritual food from the word of God. His goal is to nurture, admonish, encourage and love them.

THE TEACHER

God chooses, calls, and trains teachers and set them in His church. Teachers often travel from city to city spending a year or two in each place imparting the truths of God’s word to the church. As with any of the public speaking ministries, teachers may from time to time pastor churches. And of course, many pastors are also fine teachers. These two gifts complement one another well, especially in the pastorate.

THE EVANGELIST

The work of an evangelist is not just speaking and preaching; it is proclamation with full authority and power. Signs and wonders accompany the evangelist message. They belong together, for the word is powerful and effective. The proclamation of the age of grace, of the rule of God, creates a healthy state in every respect. Bodily disorders are healed and man’s reaction to God is set right…..joy reign where this word is proclaimed. It brings regeneration. It is not a word of man, but the living, eternal word of God. The Holy Spirit, who was sought for day of salvation, attests Himself now in the time of fulfillment when the glad tidings are proclaimed.

THE PROPHETIC GATE OF UNITYTHE APOSTOLIC & PROPHETIC DESTINED GATE OF UNITY IN THE MINISTRY OF THE PROPHET

This shows how powerful and distinctive the ministry of the genuine prophet is in this last day. The abilities of the five senses and the major role in the move of great destiny. All this gates lead to unlimited works of the Holy Spirit in the life of the great prepared mature prophet in this end time. This unity move the church (body of Christ) into their destination as thy fully obey the leading Holy Spirit in word and deed through accountability of His great will.

All this gate have their own wishes and great desire, if they follow their wishes and desire is will look good in the eye of men, but, if the wishes or desire of the Creator accepted by allow His will to be done. At list the end will be greater than expectation of mankind.

In this gate of which the Lord uses to descript His vessel (the prophet) to His people in the prophetic programmed agenda. We can see the five senses of the work of our great God in the prophetic sanctification.

The prophetic destiny gate of unity is a vision of which I saw God using His mature servant the prophets to speak to His people and to the church in the Spirit of Truth. In which we have to see all the five senses and how they work in our midst in the ministerial schedule of God.

BRAIN GATE:- the brain gate is a terminal room or body core to the mind. Mind lives in the brain and work unusual in it, this is one and supreme work of our Creator. In the brain mind gate, God uses His prophet and speak to him directly into the mind Spirit of His prophet and this go straight to other gates. This gate is one leading gates of all five senses carry the entire signal to all the body in the unity of them all. Brain gate help the rest of the four senses to the body, apart from hands and legs, brain gate helps the other in the body of which counted responsible to function in the body. This brain gate is the number one gates of the prophetic ministries and calling and it the core of all the gates in the whole body. Matured prophets are the mind center and destiny of Holy Spirit to minister to His people.

EYE GATE:- eye is the sight of the body, is the power that carries all the physical and spiritual information’s to the brain gates. Yes, Beloveth, there’s a spiritual eyes in our eye that gives the spiritual mind the information it needed. This eye are fully descript as the sight of the LORD OF HOST. The eye is the light of the body, wow! So prophets, I mean the matured prophets are the light to the body of Christ (the Church) which makes the church to see the coming and movable events that occur to the personal body. God use this eye to help us see the evil and good ahead of the church. Prophets are the eyes of the church in the ministries body.

HEARING GATE:- Ability of hearing is a way of sound and directive in the power realm. This is one of all the powerful gates of the prophetic ministry. We need to hear right, we need to hear well, we need to hear the true Spirit of the Father, we must also learn the powerful ability to know His sound and move of His way in the Spirit.  The Hearing gate gives channel to the spiritual door of directive in term of sound voice wave or ventilation of our great God. God anointed His mature prophets to know and to discerning His way through hearing right. Even as they receive in hearing through their spiritual ear in their spirit soul, mind and body give deliverance to interpret His voice by sound and intensive of spiritual change in the spirit world. Though it is inherited right of every believers to hear God speaking to them in dimension He will to speak to the church or individual. They deliver His message not in selfish or personal ambition. Jesus Christ trained His prophets through discipline in this last day to hear Him right, He is giving them intensive training and test them to hear right in righteousness, in other word to discerning evil and His voice signal to His and for His will.

NOSE GATE:- The perfectness of God as shown in the fire senses of great Creator, but in this one God in His way gave some of His servants as a precious gift and way of glorify Him. Also in the area of smelling, the ability to notice in smelling, but this is rear in the church, but very important to the prophetic ministry. A matured prophet must learn to grow in the spiritual smelling both in the physical and in the spiritual things in just way to defense himself and his people against the enemies. Enemy may release and uses poison against the church sometime and many times enemy had diverted deception to work in fulfilling their evil mission on the people of God. God is always a loving kind God to His people. He never leaves them, He never forsakes them, and He never abandons them for a second. So, in this area other ministers are not involved or tap this right gate to operate, but the privilege was only giving to the prophetic ministry and prophetic destined. God speaks from the smelling senses to us in this last day. Smelling right and discerning it, is the deed of the last day matured prophets.

MOUTH GATE:- The all sufficient God is much more awesome in the prophetic destiny. This shows the divine wisdom of our Creator in His servant the prophet; the mouthpiece of God, the mouth speaker of God, the God of Bible in those days uses the mature and immature prophet to speak to His people and they are speaking oracle of the living God. In this last day the mature prophets and prophetess will speak with high authority to resist and bind the power of darkness confrontation in the church with prophecy of great impart. This will change man into the real creature of God. The mouth is the only one way all other gate of the five senses use to express the mind, hear, eye and through unification. God create this gate properly for the manifestation of His glory and for existences of mankind, in other to unified the body (the church) into fully obedient of His word. The mature prophet and immature are called the mouth of God on earth.

FINAL WORD

These are the unification of the five senses that’s very sensitive in the body of Christ. The five hold ministry look very similar to the five senses of the head and Christ is the GodHead (Col.1:1) and He will use them to make His work and His church of which He uses His Blood to create for the love of God in Him, Jesus Christ is the Head of this body and He use all senses to control the body. He will never forsake His church and had never does. The five senses in the head will be more beautiful as a way of talking to His loving people (the church). So therefore, they may know and understand His loving mercy towas them, yet, He gave levels of His love to the five-fold ministry, but He had release more love for the office of the mature prophet in this last day, because all things are done in Heaven with and by His love in Christ Jesus. Shalom!

carpenter of eaglestarEND TIME MESSENGERS

God gave out His gifts for the perfection of the saints. There are five gifts for administration. They are; Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, pastor and Teacher. These gifts and calling are given purposely for the growth of the church of God. The calling will help an individual to grow from babe in the faith, to the fullness of Christ. Unfortunately, the ignorance of these five calling has put many Christians in the danger of lack of growth, to the extent that false doctrines toss them here and there. God wants us to be perfect Christians. Therefore, set to grow in the faith, and allow the fulfillment of God’s programed in your life.

1 THAT YOU MAY WALK WORTHY: Ephesians 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, this issue concerns every Christian to walk worthy in speech and in business. Apostle Paul was appealing to the Ephesians to walk worthy of the vocation where with they were called. Our calling to e holy for God can only be possible if we have the experience of sanctification. This will enable us to walk in a way that pleases God. Why don’t you ask for this joyous experience today? As Christians, we must live the life that is approved by God. We are being called into God’s Kingdom and His Glory; therefore, we must live the life that will inherit the Kingdom and His Glory.

2 EXHORATION ON THE ISSUE OF LOVE:  Eph. 4: 2-6 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. Love is the supreme law. Love brings about unity. With love, people forbear with one another with long-suffering and meekness. Where can we get these qualities? They manifest through the experience of sanctification. Remember the call of God, that there is one body, and one Spirit, and one hope. We worship one Lord with one faith and one baptism. Then, where does division come from. Division occurs through the spirit of sin, specifically, stubborn heart. The church of God can only practice the love of the cross among themselves if Christians return to the experience of sanctification-John17: 14-17.

3 HE LED CAPTIVITY CAPTIVE: Eph. 4:7-16 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

(Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. Jesus poured out His gifts upon the church. He gave an individual the grace according to the measure of the gift. Jesus led captivity captive in order that the gifts might be ours. He came into the world, and died for us. He was buried and resurrected so that His gifts are poured on His church. The gift of Apostle was given to the church, to matured men and trained by Him, men of great God in this last day to build the church, men that are full of great experiences with the Master. But today, everybody aspires to be apostle without experience of supernatural of God. This desperate aspiration leads them to establish church, without the endowment of this gift God will never support them, since He is not the one that sends them. Moreover, the gift of prophet is very useful in that it is used to draw people into the church. But today, some have returned it to money making ventures. Wherefore, the gift is for an individual to know the mind of God, and speak out the truth. The examples of prophets like, Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel gave us the understanding that a prophet must be knowledgeable and be mouthpiece for Almighty God. It is unfortunate that today, among the characteristics of the prophets are lie and falsehood. No wonder they find it difficult to help the church to grow spiritually. Instead of speaking the truth, they take the love of money as more important issue. Let these prophets remember Prophet Joseph Babalola in 1930, through whom revival become the glory of the nation of Nigeria. It is a pity that churches led by some of the prophets today have no future. By their fruits we shall know them, whether righteous prophets or false prophets.

Furthermore, the gift of evangelist is the gift of soul winning. This gift is given purposely to depopulate hell. It is use through house to house evangelism, and urban and rural evangelism. Many people desire pastoral posts. Even, those who are called as evangelists also desire to be pastors. Evangelist Bonnke is always a blessing to all Christians any time he visits Africa. But today’s evangelists have put on garment of anxiety to the extent that the gift is missing in the church. Compared to the gift of evangelist, the gifts of prophet and pastor are making ways.

Also, the gift of pastor is given to control the church with love. A pastor is to be preacher of the narrow way and the care of the sheep’s of the Lord. He is assigned the duty to feed the sheep till they grow in faith. People with this gift always work towards the growth of the church in love, prayer and holiness life. In the teaching on holiness life, they put things in order in the church.

In addition, the gift of teacher is essential in the church as it helps to distinguish between right and left. But in some churches today, the gift of teaching is not given the opportunity. On several occasions, prayer is given priority more than teaching. Such churches are usually been driven away by false teachings.

REASON FOR THESE GIFTS

  1. For the perfection of the saints
  2. For missionary work
  3. For the growth of the body of Christ
  4. Till all of us reach the unity of faith
  5. Knowledge of the Son of God
  6. Till one becomes a man
  7. Till one gets to the length of Christ’s gift
  8. Do not be babe who is being tossed here and there with false teaching.

  1. HOLINESS IN THE HEART OF CHRISTIANS: Eph. 4:7-32 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

(Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,

Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

But ye have not so learned Christ;

If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

Neither give place to the devil.

Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

This will give us the boldness to speak the truth with love. Our lifestyle will be different from that of the unbelievers. Since we are not ignorant of the character of the unbelievers as they are aliens to Godliness, and as their hearts transgress. They sold themselves to lasciviousness and uncleanness. However, Christ has never taught us in that manner. If truly you are saved, you supposed to drop the old life-style, and be renewed in your spirit. The call with which we are called today.

  1. Put off the old man.
  2. Be renewed in the spirit of your mind
  3. Put on the new man
  4. Live a righteous and holy life
  5. Put away lying
  6. Speak the truth without compromise
  7. Give no room for anger
  8. Give no room for the devil
  9. Do not be lazy, so that you become source of blessings to the needy.
  10. Let no corrupt communication proceed from your mouth.
  11. Do not provoke the Holy Spirit
  12. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all miracle.
  13. Be kind to one another
  14. Forgive one another.

If you have been made perfect, you will resemble Jesus the Saviour in behavior and attitude.
